World’s only corn palace – Mitchell, SD

We stopped in Mitchell, SD to see the world’s only corn palace. We were a little disappointed that the whole building wasn’t made of corn, but it was still a nice place to stretch our legs. All sorts of corn-related souvenirs there, including corn husk jelly. We decided to pass on the jelly lol.

We didn’t see any cows in Wisconsin, but we figured out that they were vacationing in Minnesota. Lots of cows there. πŸ˜›

In honor of Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock, we’re headed to Deadwood, SD right now. Nick and I stayed there when we first drove out to Michigan from Washington and we all wanted to stop again. πŸ˜› Of course we’reΒ  going to stop at Wall Drug along the way, though. πŸ˜‰

Still planning on arriving on July 5, making it a 4-day trip. We’ll probably spend the night in Wyoming tonight.
